Visitors may attend the public hearings which are held during Court terms. As a general rule, they take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and start at 09:30. The duration of hearings varies.
Groups of visitors who wish to include a hearing in their programme are requested to ascertain the dates of Court terms.
The Visits Service decides which hearing visitors will attend on the basis of criteria such as the seating capacity of the courtrooms, the number of visitors present that day, the language of the case, interpretation into other languages, etc.
It is possible for a hearing to be either cancelled or adjourned; in that event, the Visits Service will suggest a substitute programme.
Interpretation is provided into the official languages of the European Union for registered groups.
During the hearing, visitors are requested to comply with the rules on security and conduct.
