The delegation was welcomed by the President of the Court of Justice, Mr Vassilios Skouris, and by Mr Bo Vesterdorf, President of the Court of First Instance, Mrs Fidelma Macken, Judge of the Court of Justice, and Mr John D. Cooke, Judge of the Court of First Instance.

Following a discussion between President McAleese and President Skouris, President McAleese was introduced to the Members of the Court of Justice and of the Court of First Instance.

At the end of her visit, which concluded at 1.30 p.m., the President of Ireland was invited to sign the Livre d'Or of the Court of Justice.
