Data Protection Officer

The Data Protection Officer ensures that the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies and on the free movement of such data are applied when the Court of Justice of the European Union is acting in its non-judicial capacity, and advises the departments of the institution on fulfilling their obligations in relation to the protection of personal data.

The Data Protection Officer is completely independent in the performance of his or her duties.

Record of processing activities

The Data Protection Officer maintains the central record of personal data processing activities carried out by the Court of Justice of the European Union when acting in its non-judicial capacity.

This record contains, inter alia, information on the data controller, the purposes of the processing, the data subjects and the data concerned by the processing, the recipients of the data, any data transfers and storage periods.
