Members’ code of ethics
The Members and former Members of the Court of Justice are subject to the ethical standards laid down by the Treaties, the Statute of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Rules of Procedure of the Court of Justice.
They are also governed by a Code of Conduct for Members and former Members of the Court of Justice of the European Union, adopted jointly by the Court of Justice and the General Court, which is intended to clarify certain obligations arising from those standards.
In accordance with the transparency requirements of the Code of Conduct, the external activities of the Members are published annually on the Court’s internet site, after the activity has taken place.
