ORDER OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE COURT

APPEAL under Article 56 of the Statute of the Court of Justice, lodged on 22 November 2007,

Kingdom of Sweden, represented by S. Johannesson and A. Falk, acting as Agents,

THE PRESIDENT OF THE COURT,

after hearing the Advocate General, M. Poiares Maduro,

makes the following

Order

1        By application lodged at the Court Registry on 15 April 2008 (fax of 11 April 2008), the Republic of Finland, represented by J. Heliskoski, acting as Agent, sought leave to intervene in Case C‑514/07 P in support of the form of order sought by the Kingdom of Sweden.

2        Since the application to intervene, which was made pursuant to the first paragraph of Article 40 of the Statute of the Court of Justice, was received at the Court Registry after expiry of the period prescribed in Articles 93(1) and 123 of the Rules of Procedure, it is appropriate to accept it on the basis of Article 93(7) of the Rules of Procedure.

On those grounds, the President of the Court hereby orders:

1.      The Republic of Finland is granted leave to intervene in Case C‑514/07 P in support of the form of order sought by the Kingdom of Sweden.

2.      The intervener shall have the opportunity of submitting its observations during the oral procedure, if that procedure takes place.

3.      Copies of all the procedural documents shall be served on the intervener by the Registrar.

4.      Costs are reserved.
