Formal sitting: new Registrar of the Court of Justice and two new Judges of the General Court

Following the resignation of Mr Alfredo Calot Escobar, who has performed the duties of registrar of the Court of Justice since 6 October 2010, Mr Vittorio Di Bucci was elected registrar of the Court of Justice by the Judges and the Advocates General on 8 September 2026 for a term of office of six years, that is to say, for the period from 8 October 2026 to 7 October 2032.

By decision of 30 September 2026, the representatives of the governments of the Member States appointed Ms Andria Buhagiar and Mr Ivan Stoynev as judges of the General Court of the European Union for the period from 5 October 2026 to 31 August 2031.
