How to get to the Court

The Court of Justice of the European Union is located in the Kirchberg district of Luxembourg City. Luxembourg’s free public transport system provides many options to travel to the Court. It is also close to Luxembourg’s motorway network.

How do I enter the Court?

Groups of visitors and individual visitors should use the entrance on rue Charles-Léon Hammes.

Visitors with disabilities are invited to use the entrance on rue du Fort Niedergrünewald.

Parties and their representatives, as well as agents of other institutions, should use the entrance on rue du Fort Niedergrünewald.

How do I get to the Court?

Public transport

The Court of Justice can be accessed by various means of public transport. Public transport in Luxembourg is free.

The closest bus stops are:

  • Niedergrünewald

By train

Luxembourg’s central station is a short bus or tram ride away from the Court.

The closest train station is Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg. A funicular connects the train station to the Kirchberg district and is within walking distance of the Court.

By car

If you travel to the Court by car, the closest motorway exit is exit no.8 of the A1 (E44), signposted Plateau de Kirchberg. The closest public car park is the “Parking Place de l’Europe”.
