The General Court and requests from national courts

Since October 2024, the General Court of the EU has handled certain preliminary rulings – that is, questions referred by national courts or tribunals concerning the interpretation of EU law – that were previously reserved for the Court of Justice. The Vice-President of the General Court, Savvas Papasavvas, explains how this partial transfer was organised.
