On 18 and 19 May 2026, a delegation from the Supreme Court of Denmark, led by its President, Jens Peter Christensen, visited the Court of Justice of the European Union. Participants took part in a series of working sessions and roundtable discussions and attended a hearing before the Grand Chamber.

On 12 March 2026, President Lenaerts and Judge Bošnjak participated in a conference hosted by the French Cour de Cassation marking the 30th anniversary of the Court of Justice’s judgment in Brasserie du Pêcheur and Factortame. The conference, entitled “30 years after Brasserie du Pêcheur – What is the current status and role of national judges in the European judicial system?”, brought together judges and other legal professionals from around Europe to discuss various aspects about the role of national judges in EU law and their interaction with the Court of Justice.

On 1-2 December, the Court of Justice of the European Union welcomed judges from across the EU for its annual “Judges' Forum”. This is an opportunity for national judges to see the Court in action and to take part in discussions with Members of the Court on subjects of mutual interest. The visit takes place in the context of the close relations that the Court fosters with national judiciaries.

On 24 November, a delegation from the European Court of Human Rights visited the Court of Justice of the European Union. The Presidents of both Courts addressed a wide range of issues in a joint interview and discussion available to watch in full. Judges of both courts had a fruitful series of exchanges on a variety of subjects of common interest.
