New InfoCuria case-law database and search tool

The Court of Justice of the European Union has launched the updated InfoCuria, its case-law database and search engine.

Clear, intuitive and user-friendly, this new platform provides direct access to a wide range of documents and data relating to the Court’s work.

Through the updated search engine, users can find everything from judgments, Opinions and orders to procedural documents, case summaries, and press releases. InfoCuria also integrates useful background data, including case classifications, references to acts and decisions cited, and keywords that make EU law easier to understand and explore.

The new platform offers a search experience similar to the most widely used web search engines, covering both the full text and metadata of documents. Features such as automatic suggestions, approximate search, Boolean operators, filtering, refinement of results and text highlighting make it quicker and easier to locate the right information.

This new platform will be constantly updated as the Court strives to improve the service it provides. An advanced search interface tailored for legal professionals is under development and will be launched soon. It will allow multi-criteria searches, including filters by the referring court, type of proceedings, outcome of the case, composition of the Court, and Advocate General or Judge-Rapporteur involved. Later versions of the search engine will also index other content on the site, including valuable legal resources such as fact sheets, research notes and monthly bulletins.

InfoCuria is now available in all 24 official EU languages, enabling users to search and browse in their language of choice.

With this modernisation, the Court makes its case-law more accessible and its activities easier to follow – giving citizens, researchers, and legal practitioners a smarter way to engage with EU law and justice.
