Updates and Advanced Search

Taking into account feedback from users, a series of changes have been made throughout the last few weeks to improve user experience. These include:

  • Sort by relevance is now the default sort criteria in the “Cases” and “Opinions and decisions” tabs
  • Sort options have been made more visible in the results pages and in the search form on the home page
  • Formatting of documents in the preview window has been improved
  • Full-screen judgments can now be more easily printed as pdf documents
  • Inability to copy-paste from some documents has been fixed.

In addition, the traditional search form was made available on 23 February and can be accessed via the “Advanced Search” button in the InfoCuria interface.

Video Tutorials

A series of tutorials is also now available.

The six tutorials give an overview of the current version of the new search interface and show how to:

  • Search for a case using the case number
  • Search for cases on a specific subject
  • Search in pending cases
  • Search for cases about a specific legal provision
  • Search using the text search function.

The videos are available in the ”tutorial videos” section of Curia Web TV.

These are available in English immediately and will be made available in all EU languages in the coming days. As the interface evolves, these tutorials will be updated to take account of the changes.

The Court would like to thank all users who have provided feedback in the last few weeks. This includes specific needs and ergonomics suggestions. InfoCuria is an evolutive product and our next version will be available in spring, for more information see Upcoming Evolutions to the InfoCuria Search Engine.
