EU Legal Summer School 2026

Applications are now open for the 2026 edition of the EU Legal Summer School. This one-week job-shadowing programme is designed for a maximum of 36 Master’s, PhD, and Postdoctoral EU law students from across the EU who are eager to experience EU law in action.

Together with other EU institutions and with the support of the International Federation of European Law (FIDE), the Court of Justice of the European Union is pleased to launch the second EU Legal Summer School in Luxembourg. This one-week job-shadowing programme is designed for a maximum of 36 Master’s, PhD, and Postdoctoral EU law students from across the EU who are eager to experience EU law in action.

The programme will take place in Luxembourg from 28 June to 4 July 2026 and offers participants

  • an inside look at the work of EU institutions based in Luxembourg
  • professional training, social activities and insights into EU law careers
  • a unique opportunity to connect with legal experts and fellow participants

The programme covers accommodation and meals. Participants are expected to cover their travel costs to and from Luxembourg.

Formal requirements and deadlines

Applicants must

  • be a national of one of the 27 EU Member States
  • be currently enrolled in a Master’s, PhD or postdoctoral programme (preferably in EU law) at a university located in an EU Member State

Applications must be submitted to the FIDE National Association of the Member State where the applicant’s university is based.
