Social media

The Court uses social media accounts on various platforms to inform people about its work. These accounts share updates on key decisions and certain institutional events, such as formal sittings and official visits. Due to the high volume of cases decided by the Court, not all decisions are covered by the Court’s accounts.

The accounts are managed by the Court’s Communications Directorate.

Interacting with the Court’s accounts

Comments and direct messages to the social media accounts do not constitute “official requests for information” from the Court.

To make an official inquiry, you can use the contact form.

We welcome civil discussion about the matters raised by the Court’s work. However, comments which are unrelated to the post or which are offensive will be removed. Please note that the Court cannot enter into debate about its judgments on these accounts.

Following policy

The Court does not automatically follow the accounts of its followers.

The fact that the Court follows a particular account does not mean that the Court approves of or supports that account.

Malicious or spam accounts will be unfollowed.

Availability

The Court’s Communications Directorate updates and monitors the accounts from Monday to Friday during working hours.
