Library Directorate

The Library of the Court of Justice specialises in European Union law.  However, in addition to its very rich collection of works on European Union law, the Library also has large collections of works on international law, the law of the Member States of the European Union and of certain non-member States.

It is a resource available to the Members and staff of the Court of Justice, the General Court and the Civil Service Tribunal.  However, external visitors may be admitted to consult the Library's works, subject to prior authorisation.

The Library's catalogue is available on the Internet (see link below).

Downloading, copying and, as a general rule, any use of the content available via links in the catalogue to sites external to the Court must be done in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down for each of those sites which users are requested to consult.  The Court refuses all liability for any incorrect usage of that content by users.

The Court Library reserves the right freely to decide whether works sent to it as a gift will be entered into its catalogue.

In addition, the Bibliographie courante (monthly list of new acquisitions) is made available to the public in .pdf format.
